AC 45 for NKS | Vertikal.net

The German crane company Niessen Kran-Service (NKS) has taken delivery of a 45-tonne Demag AC 45 City crane for its rental fleet.
Joining the 40-tonne AC 40 and 70-tonne AC 70 urban cranes in the company’s fleet, the AC 45 has a 31.2-meter main boom and an offset extension of 7.1 to 13 meters for a maximum peak height of 45 meters. The crane’s IC-1 Plus and Flex Base control systems automatically monitor the position of each stabilizer to calculate the available load table. It will mainly be used for concrete construction work as well as for interior applications.

Co-owner Alexander Niessen said: “This is the first time we’ve bought a new crane – and it absolutely had to be a City crane. We all agreed on that. Its ability to telescope heavy loads simply makes it the best choice for us. And it’s also unbeatable when it comes to working in tight spaces, especially thanks to the Flex Base stabilizer system which is truly a fantastic improvement on the IC 1 Plus control system.
NKS was established in 2011 as a crane repair company by brothers Alexander and Sebastian Niessen before acquiring a local crane rental company in 2016. Today the company operates a fleet of cranes from a capacity ranging from 40 to 500 tonnes.
