Robinson began his government career in a DoD cooperative education program while studying for his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering (EE) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She went on to earn a Masters in EE at Johns Hopkins.

In 2016, Robinson received the Culper Ring Award from General James Clapper, then Director of National Intelligence (DNI), for his significant contributions to the US government’s national security mission.
Outside of the office, Robinson has led activities related to supporting women in leadership roles as a founding member of Chief DC and encouraging young women to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM ) within the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). She also volunteers with the United States Service Organization (USO) to support active-duty and retired military communities.
