Interface Masters Develops Tahoe 8830 Network Appliance for Advanced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Applications
SAN JOSE, Calif .– (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – Interface Masters Technologies announces Tahoe 8830, a standard artificial intelligence and machine learning tool that “complements” ARM’s Interface Masters family® and MIP-based network devices. Interface Masters now offers seven unique Marvells® OCTÉON® and OCTÉON® TX2-based appliances ranging from entry-level single-core edge networking appliances to advanced 48-core AI-driven appliances.
The modular device includes the venerable Marvell® OCTÉON® TX2 ARM64® multicore processor (CN9880, 18 to 24 cores at 2.4 GHz) as the main processor and supports a range of high performance offload processing options, as well as a single configurable I / O module supporting supports a range (1G, 10G, 25G to 100G) of port configurations.
Optional high-performance offload processing upgrades include Interface Masters proprietary Intel-based DataSlammer ™ technology or one of Nvidia’s advanced graphics processing units (GPUs).

As with all Interface Masters appliances, the device includes out-of-the-box support for the impressive SDK 11 SDK from Marvell and Linux. Support for the SDK by interface masters and additional embedded software and firmware enables rapid development.
