Japan shares more at close of trade; Nikkei 225 up 0.13%

Investing.com – Japanese stocks were higher at Tuesday’s close as gains in sectors , and propelled stocks higher.

At the close in Tokyo, the gain was 0.13%.

The biggest winners from the session on the were Ricoh Co., Ltd. (T:), which rose 7.23% or 71.0 points to trade at 1053.0 at the close. Keisei Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (T:) added 6.56% or 210.0 points to finish at 3,410.0 and Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (T:) rose 6.24% or 420.0 points to 7150.0 late in the session.

Biggest Losers Included DIC Corp. (T:), which fell 10.08% or 302.0 points to trade at 2695.0 late in the session. Olympus Corp. (T:) fell 7.20% or 163.0 points to end at 2100.0 and Denka Co Ltd (T:) fell 5.50% or 200.0 points to 3435.0.

Advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones from 1810 to 1736 and 223 ended unchanged on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The , which measures the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, was unchanged at 0% at 24.20.

In commodities trading, crude oil for March delivery fell 0.64% or 0.58 to $90.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for April delivery fell 0.73% or 0.68 to $92.01 a barrel, while April gold futures fell 0.23%. % or 4.15 to trade at $1817.65 per troy ounce.

USD/JPY rose 0.34% to 115.51, while EUR/JPY fell 0.05% to 131.65.

US dollar index futures rose 0.35% to 95.722.
