KEC International takes new orders of over 1000 Cr; Ends higher in a low Mkt

Investing.com – The Construction Engineering Company KEC International (NS 🙂 Limited on Friday informed the exchanges of new orders worth Rs 1,041 crore for transmission and distribution projects across India, the United States and the Middle East.
This marks further growth in the company’s national T&D activities. The new orders concern various KEC activities, in particular the transmission & distribution, civil and cables segments.
In the cables sector, the infrastructure engineering arm of the RPG group won orders in the Indian and foreign markets, while in the civil segment it won an order for the construction of a data center in the west. from India, the company statement said.
With the new orders in place, KEC International’s year-to-date order intake stands at Rs 12,000 crore, which represents a doubling of the company’s growth in one year, while the civilian order to build a data center in the domestic market, is the company’s second order this year.
Shares of KEC International Ltd ended up 1.71% at Rs 462 each in a weak market on Friday, when Indian benchmark stock indexes ended down 1.53% and 1.54%, respectively.
