Limerick-based software company reveals details of acquisition of German company

A SSII based in Ballysimon has just acquired a German company.
Advanced Manufacturing Control Systems (AMCS) has reached an agreement to purchase Quentic for an undisclosed amount.
The deal, subject to regulatory approval, is expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.
Quentic is a software-as-a-service provider for different types of environmental management systems.
The acquisition of the Limerick company will allow it to reach 1,000 employees and put it on a path to achieve revenues of more than 180 million euros by the end of this year.
“AMCS and Quentic are very much aligned with the mission of driving an environmentally sustainable future,” says Jimmy Martin, chief executive of the Limerick-based company.
“A net zero carbon future depends on a highly connected and circular approach across the supply chain. We are excited to integrate Quentic’s technology into the AMCS solutions portfolio and can now move forward by focusing on influencing the entire supply chain, delivering smarter results through automating and digitizing their operations – reducing waste as much as possible.
Markus Becker, Sebastian Mönnich and Hardy Menzel founded Quentic, formerly EcoIntense, in 2007 to provide environmental management software.
“We built Quentic on the values of making a meaningful contribution to people, society and the environment,” said Mr. Becker, its chief executive.
“Therefore, we are delighted to have found a partner in AMCS who fully aligns with our mission to empower businesses around the world to digitally manage people, businesses and environmental processes in a sustainable way at all levels. levels. With AMCS, Quentic’s leadership team will continue to shape the future,” he added.
