Netum Group Plc continues to grow in the education sector. The software development and consulting agreement concluded on June 16 with Haaga Helia University of Applied Sciences brings the company even more closely involved in the maintenance and development of the Peppi study management system used by Finnish universities.

Netum, a fast-growing Finnish IT services company, has been working on projects in the education sector for more than a decade. It has 18 client universities, five of which purchase Peppi’s information system services from Netum. Cooperation with Haaga Helia University of Applied Sciences began 18 months ago. To strengthen this cooperation, an agreement on the development and maintenance of the information system on the Peppi study was concluded on 16 June. The agreement is an extension of a previous maintenance agreement.

Peppi is a study management system developed for Finnish universities, used by most Finnish universities and universities of applied sciences. The system is managed by the Peppi consortium made up of the participating universities, and the consortium also coordinates the development needs of the software suite. Haaga-Helia has such a partnership with Netum.

“When we started working with Haaga-Helia about 18 months ago, we mainly provided maintenance and minor development services. The new agreement takes our cooperation to a deeper level. We have years of experience with the IT environments and requirements of universities as well as Peppi, which gives us strong capabilities for the development and maintenance of customer-facing software from Peppi as well as the development of reports, for example” , declares Jussi VasamaNetum account manager.

Kimmo KoivistoDirector of Continuity Services at Netum, agrees: “We are delighted with the opportunity to develop Peppi in a way that allows the customer to use it even better in the management and implementation of its processes and services. In practice, this means smoother services for universities as a whole – for students, teachers and all staff and stakeholders. »
