Over 140 tech jobs available to women at DBS Virtual Career Fair, Jobs News and Top Stories

SINGAPORE – More than 140 engineering positions will be offered to women at a virtual career fair hosted by DBS, the bank said on Tuesday (May 25th).

Applications are now open for the following five roles: Engineering Manager, Solution Architect, ReactJS Developer, Full Stack Developer, and Software Development Engineering Under Test.

The bank said applicants will go through an 80-minute online assessment to assess their technical and planning abilities. These online reviews must be submitted by June 8.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the DBS Women In Tech Virtual Career Fair, which will be held on June 12, where they will receive more information on available career development paths and attend a virtual interview.

At the inaugural DBS Women In Tech career fair last year, more than 500 women applied for 50 vacancies.

Ms Soh Siew Choo, head of the big data / AI and technology group at the bank’s consumer banking, said DBS is making a concerted effort this year to improve female representation in engineering roles, an industrial space that continues to see a shortage of women.

“We believe that by fostering diversity in our engineering roles, we will be able to integrate a multiplicity of viewpoints and perspectives upstream to deliver exceptional digital experiences to our customers,” he said. she declared.

Other banks are also stepping up the recruitment of technology.

OCBC Bank plans to increase its global banking workforce in Singapore by 50% to 100 by the end of next year, including specialist staff who can help develop products. and services.

Citigroup said it would add around 2,300 employees and invest in cutting-edge technology at its wealth management centers in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Goldman Sachs Group plans to add around 100 people in Singapore, mostly in tech jobs.
