Palme aims to provide training for technological development

Comtech PNG is the brainchild of Elizah, a young man who quit his job at EMTV in 2019 to pursue his own dream of becoming his own boss and doing something he loves to do.
He said that there were a lot of graduates coming out of higher education institutions and yet there were not enough job opportunities for them, therefore, he provided the platform for new graduates to build their ideas or find solutions to the problems of their skills.
“We need technology to solve the problems of agriculture, health and education. Our health care system will take time to reach global standards.
“For example, the Susu Mamas clinic at Port Moresby General Hospital receives a number of mothers on a daily basis. With regard to our health workers who are doing a great job, we have to consider mothers who get up at 5 am to go to the queue so that they can receive treatment for the day, ”he said. he declares.
“What we can do is register online via cellphones, so if the required number of mothers for the day is met, mothers can register for the next day instead of getting up and struggling to take the bus, as most board the connecting buses. to finally get there, only to return home because the required number had been reached.
Mr Palme has said so far that he is providing services, but also plans to provide training in the near future. He said some of the organizations they serve in Port Moresby are the PNG Sports Foundation, the Center for International Private Enterprises, the UN and the NYDA, including other SMEs in the city.
Mr Palme said he wanted to organize software development courses to teach students how to create code.
He said from the observation that other tech companies are only in service delivery and not really in education and development.
“What I want is to provide this possibility, because a lot of children are also learning online and there are a lot of self-taught and motivated young people who use YouTube.
“For us at Comtech, we want to create a platform to help these young people develop these ideas and help them sell while helping to build capacity for technology development. “
