Gräber currently operates a fleet of seven 230-tonne Liebherr mobile cranes, as well as a number of spider cranes, but its main business is the rental of aerial work platforms and telehandlers. It operates from three locations around Lake Constance – Constance, Well am Rhein and Singen.
Owner Alexander Gräber said: “We founded our company in 1998 and started by renting work platforms and forklifts. They remain our main source of business. Then, when we established ourselves in the market, we started renting mobile cranes in 2013 and since then we have been able to supply the complete package. We trusted Liebherr cranes right from the start. We bought the LTM 1070-4.2 at the request of our dispatcher because we didn’t have a taxi crane that could drive on public roads carrying ballast,”
Thomas Gebhardt, Chief Financial Officer, added: “This year we have already taken delivery of three new Liebherr cranes and have ordered two more. Liebherr’s crane technology is innovative and the support provided by the company after crane purchase is outstanding. The last two cranes will complete the fleet in areas where the company did not previously have perfect machines.
Jörg Rössler said: “We will mainly use the 150 ton crane for the assembly of precast concrete elements. It delivers the performance for the job, and we ordered it with a second auxiliary hoist. This allows us to easily turn the components into the correct position during the assembly process. The LTM 1150-5.3 fits perfectly in the space between our 100 and 230 ton crane, which is the largest model we have.
