UK stocks fall at close of trade; Investing.com UK 100 down 0.14%
Investing.com – British stocks were down at Friday’s close as losses in the , and , sectors pushed shares lower.

The biggest winners from the session on the were Unilever PLC (LON:), which rose 3.59% or 135.5 points to trade at 3914.5 at the close. British American Tobacco PLC (LON:) added 3.04% or 99.5 points to end at 3368.5 and Flutter Entertainment PLC (LON:) was up 2.81% or 310.0 points at 11360.0 late in the session .
The biggest losers were Bank VTB PAO DRC (LON:), which fell 7.61% or 0.088 points to trade at 1.068 late in the session. Sberbank Of Russia (LON:) lost 6.35% or 0.96 points to end at 14.16 and GMK Norilskiy Nikel PAO DRC (LON:) lost 5.18% or 1.58 points to 28.94.
Falling stocks outnumbered rising stocks by 1247 at 638 and 485 ended unchanged on the London Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, gold futures for April delivery rose 0.24% or 4.45 to $1,841.85 per troy ounce. Meanwhile, crude oil for March delivery rose 2.36% or 2.12 to $92.00 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 2.05% or 1.87 to trade at $93.28 a barrel.
GBP/USD rose 0.28% to 1.3592, while EUR/GBP fell 0.55% to 0.8382.
US dollar index futures rose 0.23% to 95.763.
