UK stocks higher at close of trade; Investing.com UK 100 up 2.60%

Investing.com – British stocks were higher at Friday’s close as gains in sectors , and propelled stocks higher.
At the close in London, the 2.60% added.
The biggest gainers on the session were Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust PLC (LON:), which rose 7.33% or 55.00 points to trade at 805.80 at the close. Flutter Entertainment PLC (LON:) added 5.62% or 476.00 points to close at 8,944.00 and Tui AG (LON:) was up 5.41% or 12.20 points at 237.90 to close of session.
Biggest Losers Included Vodafone Group PLC (LON:), which fell 0.76% or 0.90 points to trade at 117.82 late in the session. Avast PLC (LON:) lost 0.56% or 2.80 points to end at 495.90 and AVEVA Group PLC (LON:) lost 0.42% or 9.00 points to 2,130.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered falling stocks by 1403 to 426 and 442 ended unchanged on the London Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, gold futures for June delivery fell 0.77% or 13.98 to $1,810.62 per troy ounce. Meanwhile, crude oil for June delivery rose 3.94% or 4.18 to $110.31 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 3.65% or 3, 92 to trade at $111.37 a barrel.
GBP/USD was unchanged 0.40% at 1.22, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.02% at 0.85.
US dollar index futures fell 0.36% to 104.52.
